Chatsworth Infant School is a 'good school which provides a positive environment for learning' (OFSTED 2013). The parents, staff and governors are proud of the fact that the pupils thoroughly enjoy their lessons because they are fun and interesting. Our purpose is to ensure that Chatsworth pupils enjoy their education, as they strive towards challenging targets and high standards. The school has achieved many accolades and awards, which are very much a part of 'Chatsworth life' and the pupils have a clear impact on various developments, such as our Wildlife Area and Sports Court. We pride ourselves in the fact that our high performing team 'work hard and play hard', in the pursuit of maintaining and further improving our 'excellent quality of education'.

Denis Bond
We were so excited this morning to have Denis Bond officially open our EYFS area. Thank you to everyone who bought one of his books. All of the children enjoyed having him at school today. Thank you Denis Bond for coming to our school.

Our amazing new EYFS outdoor area!
We were so excited to come back after the Summer Holiday and see the incredible transformation of our Early Years outdoor area. This is thanks to The Pioneer Academy for funding this amazing project, which will make such a difference to our children.

New Topics
Thank you to everyone for all of the Holiday homework which has been returned. As you can see from our displays, it all looks amazing. A great start to our new topic , 'From A to B' for year 2. 'The Circus is coming to Town' for year 1. The topic for Nursery and Reception is 'Super Humans'.
Easter Hair / Hat Day
A huge well done to all of our Chatsworth children today. We have had so many amazing hats and crazy hair styles, everyone looked wonderful.
World Book Day 2019
We have all had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day today. There have been lots of amazing costumes from the children and staff. All classes have joined together to share their reading books.
Science week workshops
Science week has gone with a 'Fizz and Bang'. Mrs Pavitt showing the children that if you add mints to fizzy cola, you create a tower of froth.
The children have all taken part in some amazing workshops this week as part of Science week, presented by 'Fizz Pop Science'.
Christingle
The choir was praised for their beautiful singing by the congregation at Holy Trinity Church for the Christingle service on Sunday 3rd February. Well done Chatsworth Choir!

Children in Need

Today we received a thank you letter and certificate from Children In Need for raising an amazing amount of £258.38 for the charity last year by wearing our pyjamas to school. Thank you to each and every one of you for helping us to reach this total.

Harvest Festival
Thank you so much for all the wonderful Harvest gifts which as you can see, have made a fantastic display for our Harvest Festival today. All the food products you have donated have been given to the Bexley Food Bank to help support families in crisis.

This week we have been voting for our new School Council.

St George's Day
Thank you to everyone for coming to school in Red and white today for St George's Day. We even had some Knights and Dragons!
Rainbow Day
We have had a lovely end to our friendship week with ‘Rainbow Day’ today. #educateandcelebrate

Chicks!
The children were all very excited when they arrivied at school this morning as 6 of our chicks had hatched overnight!
We have a winner!!!!
Well done to the winner of the gruffalo drawing competition, chosen by our school catering team (Nourish).

People of the Past (Year 1)
As part of our Year 1 topic, the children dressed up today as various different well known 'People of the Past'. We had some amazing costumes as you can see. We all had a wonderful day.
Cinderella
The children enjoyed a performance of 'Cinderella' by 'The Rainbow Theatre Company' today.
The Great Fire of London
Well done to year 2 for all the hard work they have put into making the Great Fire of London houses. Look how lovely they all look on the wall !
